Strategy?

Strategy is story telling. If your story is clear and simple it will inspire and energize. If not, it can distract and often just get ignored. Like anyone, your organisation’s story is deceptively simple. It’s the answer to these questions:

Who are you?
Who do you want to be?
What can you do?
How are you going to get where you’re going?
What the plan?
Who’s going to do what and when?

You need good analysis and hard numbers to build a strategy but that’s not the strategy itself. There’s no way around it. Strategy is the stuff you make up. It’s your beliefs, your gambles, your best guesses. Strategy is the big calls, the things that matter and make a difference. The rest is just management.

Intrigued? Let’s talk.
